NDC admits hardships, but says they are ‘not deliberate’

The ruling National Democratic Congress has admitted that there is economic hardship in the country, but says it is not deliberately caused by the government.
Speaking on Angel FM on Monday, the District Chief Executive of the Obuasi Municipal, Hon. Akwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi, popularly known as “Zuba”, indicated that although the country is experiencing temporary challenges, government is not the cause.
He said that the government is earnestly working on measures to redeem the country out of its numerous challenges.
“We want to capture power again and we will not deliberately spoil the country,” he added.
Mr Boadi further explained that although the situation is not the best, it is much better than previous administrations, so the country should exercise patience.
He chastised commentators and political analysts asking them to rather stick to and address the good policies of the government rather than always talking against the acts and decisions of the government.
The former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the NPP, Gideon Boako also told Angel FM that he is not comfortable with the unfaithful apology rendered.
Mr Boako said it was good that the government had realised that the country is being run into a ditch.
He further explained that, the NPP and some concerned Ghanaians criticize the government because they want the country to be properly managed and therefore should not be labelled “pessimists”, as President has done in a previous speech.
