Alan contesting as an independent candidate will be difficult to win – Dr. Isaac Brako

A senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, Doctor Isaac Brako says it will be a tough contest for Alan to conquer the 2024 General elections.

According to him, the preceding independent candidates who contested elections were not able to secure the required 50% +1 votes.

“In 1979, four independent candidates contested, and none of them was voted for” he stressed.

Speaking in an interview on Kessben 93.3 FM, he stated that Ghana has been practicing the two-party system consisting of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party.

He also noted that Alan will not get it easy demarcating electoral offices across the country. And funding the whole electoral process will be difficult since it is the nascent of the party.”How will he get committed members in his party” he quizzed.
