Ghanaian football coach Bashiru Hayford has used a comparison between plain rice and fried rice to express his concerns about the lack of respect for local coaches in Ghana.

Speaking on Kessben FM, Hayford observed that although plain rice can sometimes be more delicious than fried rice, people are often conditioned to believe that fried rice is the better option.

He used the analogy to highlight what he perceives as the unfair treatment of Ghanaian coaches, suggesting that foreign coaches are often regarded more highly than their local counterparts despite the abilities and experience of indigenous coaches.

“They just don’t respect us, the local coaches,” Hayford lamented.
