There’s no essence in playing beautiful football without results – Addai Kyenkyenhene to Prosper Narteh
Legendary retired Ghanaian footballer, Kwadwo Addai Kyenkyenhene has advised new Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogun not to be fully centered on playing beautiful football alone without results.
The former Kotoko player says at Kotoko, results matter the most therefore coach Prosper Narteh Ogun should ensure he combines playing nice football and grinding the results for the club.
Coach Prosper Narteh after his appointment as the new coach for the Kumasi-based sporting club said he would want to be remembered at Kotoko for developing a team that plays possessive football but Kwadwo Addai Kyenkyenhene speaking on Kesaben FM/TV’s extra time sports program underscored the fact that playing nice football has always been a demand from the club’s supporters but the most important of it all is grinding results.
“At Kotoko, it is not about playing beautiful games. He needs to add goals to his nice football play. What’s the essence of playing a beautiful game without getting results?” the legendary ex-footballer asked.
The member of the triumphant 1978 Black stars team added that Prosper Narteh should not only rely on big purchases but should also develop the players he has at his disposal.
