Methodist Church Ghana ordains 44 pastors
The Ghana Methodist Church over the weekend ordained 44 pastors.
The ordination was done during the climax of the 46th conference at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral, Adum, Kumasi to assess the church’s impact on society and its members.
During the ordination presiding bishop Professor Emmanuel Asante warned the pastors to refrain from projecting their own images rather than God’s image.
Bishop Asante also advised the pastors not to allow politics get in their way to divide the church.
He added that their focus should be on the total liberation of the church, the poor and the community as a whole.
He said the church will consider other social interventions but proclaiming the kingdom message should be the paramount target of the church.
Professor Emmanuel Asante advised the newly ordained pastors to always put God first in all their endeavours.
