Unperturbed Dr Kwaku Frimpong to throw a big party for Ashantigold players

Ashantigold SC president Dr Kwaku Frimpong aka Champion is all set to throw a lavish party for the playing body of the Obuasi-based football club, Kessben Sports has gathered.

Despite the Ghana football association disciplinary committee’s decision to ban the Obuasi-based football club after the end of the season, the club president appears unperturbed as preparations are far advanced for a party to be held in Obuasi.

The team was supposed to break for the off-season this week, but due to the party ahead, the players are still in camp.

Ashantigold had a very difficult first round in the 2021-22 Ghana premier league. At a point, the Obuasi-based football club was in the relegation zone.

The Thomas Duah coached side came stronger in the second leg of the league and eventually finished 7th in the league log.

Ashantigold has however commenced the process of appealing the GFA decision to demote the club to Division 2 after they were found guilty of match-fixing with Inter Allies in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier game.
