MASSIVE EMPOWERMENT DRIVE! Alhaji Seidu Agongo Donates Over 10,000 Sewing Machines to Support Needy Ghanaians

Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Seidu Agongo has demonstrated his commitment to transforming lives by donating over 10,000 sewing machines through the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to empower vulnerable Ghanaians.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Alhaji Agongo emphasized the importance of supporting the less privileged, stressing that society cannot progress when some individuals struggle to survive while others enjoy abundant wealth.
According to him, the initiative forms part of his corporate social responsibility and reflects his belief that helping humanity is a moral obligation.
He explained that the donation is not politically motivated but is intended to equip beneficiaries with employable skills and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
“It is good to help mankind when God blesses you,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Eric Agyei, Esq. commended Alhaji Seidu Agongo for his remarkable contribution to the programme, describing the gesture as a major boost to the government’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.
He disclosed that approximately 830 sewing machines have been allocated to beneficiaries in the Greater Accra Region, while over 9,000 others will be distributed nationwide.
The NEIP CEO urged beneficiaries to put the machines to productive use rather than turn them into decorative items in their homes.
He further encouraged other wealthy Ghanaians and corporate organizations to emulate Alhaji Agongo’s generosity, emphasizing that the government alone cannot address all the socioeconomic challenges confronting the country.
Expressing optimism about the initiative, he noted that the donation would help beneficiaries acquire practical skills, generate income and improve their living standards.
He concluded by urging the media to highlight such positive initiatives to inspire more individuals to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The donation represents another significant step towards tackling unemployment, promoting self-reliance and creating economic opportunities for vulnerable Ghanaians.
