“Cometh the Hour, Cometh the Man”: Kwaku Nkansah PaaNii Endorses John Boadu for NPP National Chairman

Former Managing Director of PBC Limited and former NPP UK Branch Chairman, Kwaku Nkansah PaaNii, has endorsed John Kwame Boadu for the position of National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the party’s 2026 National Delegates Conference.
In a detailed endorsement statement released Sunday, PaaNii described Boadu as “a workaholic, approachable, and strategic leader” who has the capacity to lead the NPP to victory in 2028.
“I Have Known Him for 14 Years”
PaaNii, who also contested for NPP National Vice Chairman in 2022, said he has known Boadu for nearly 14 years, dating back to their first meeting at the NPP Constituency Office in Mamprobi during his bid to become parliamentary candidate for the then Ablekuma South.
“I recall… he sat amongst the people, exchanging greetings and ‘high-fives’ and he seemed very comfortable for a man of his political stature. He seemed to come alive among the people,” PaaNii recalled.
He noted that over the years, Boadu served as a “fountain of knowledge and wisdom” to him, first as National Organiser and later as Acting General Secretary.
“He Deals With the Situation There and Then”
The former NPP UK Chairman praised Boadu’s problem-solving approach and accessibility, citing instances during his tenure at PBC Limited and during internal party challenges in the UK.
“The company was facing storms on all fronts and John Boadu’s door was always opened for reassurance and immense support… He is not the ‘let’s wait and see’ type of person, he deals with the situation there and then,” he said.
PaaNii also referenced Boadu’s role in resolving a party issue in Amsterdam in 2015, saying: “I had other ideas, radical and wild but he was cool and strategic. And he was right!”
“He Brought Us to Power in 2016”
Making the case for 2028, PaaNii argued that the NPP needs a pragmatic and battle-tested leader.
“He has done this before as National Organiser and Acting General Secretary and brought us to power in 2016… Our electoral landscape is not one for the faint hearted; it is dynamic, tough, needs a strategic mind, and John Boadu understands and is excellent in these,” he stated.
While acknowledging that Boadu “has flaws” like any human, PaaNii urged party members to “put everything he has done into wider context” and see that “he stands tall amongst the candidates presented.”
The Endorsement
“I make the case for John Kwame Boadu as National Chairman and will also recommend that you come on this journey with us. You will never regret it. Cometh the hour, Cometh the man and this is John Kwame Boadu’s turn,” PaaNii declared.
He concluded: “If we the NPP want Power in 2028, then I would recommend to you John Kwame Boadu… Please Vote John Kwame Boadu as the National Chairman for NPP on the upcoming 3rd October 2026. I am utmost certain, he will deliver Power for us in 2028/29.”
The NPP is expected to hold its National Annual Delegates Conference on October 3, 2026, to elect new national executives.
