Dr. Clement Abass Apaak, The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection Dr. Agnes Naa Momo , senior government officials, and heads of the country’s security agencies.
The Guard Changing Ceremony is a significant military tradition that highlights the professionalism, discipline, and cooperation among the various branches of the Ghana Armed Forces in safeguarding the Presidency and other key national institutions.
The previous edition of the ceremony was held in March 2026, when the Ghana Army took over security responsibilities at Jubilee House. Earlier, on December 8, 2025, the Ghana Air Force assumed the role from the Ghana Navy during the 46th edition, a ceremony presided over by Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
Held every three months, the Guard Changing Ceremony symbolizes the commitment of the Ghana Armed Forces to maintaining the highest standards of security and ensuring the continuous protection of the nation’s highest office.
