NPP UK’s Jeffrey Dasebre Declares Bid for Youth Organiser With ‘Youth Revival Agenda’

Jeffrey Dasebre has formally declared his intention to contest as Youth Organiser of the NPP UK Branch, unveiling what he calls the “Youth Revival Agenda” to re-energise and unify the party’s youth wing ahead of Ghana’s 2028 general elections.

In a message addressed to “the esteemed members of NPP UK Branch,” Dasebre said his campaign is built on four pillars: inclusion, opportunity, accountability, and action. He described the agenda as a “bold and inclusive vision to re-energise, unite, and empower every youth within our party.”

Experience in Manchester Chapter

Dasebre, who currently serves as Manchester Chapter Youth Organiser, said that role has “deepened my understanding of our party values and objectives, and has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in leadership.”

He told members he wants to create a youth wing where “students, young professionals, entrepreneurs and first-time members and all feel valued, represented, and actively engaged.”

Structured Programmes Beyond Elections

Central to his pitch is a promise to move the youth wing past election-cycle activism. “My commitment is to establish structured programmes that promote leadership development, professional growth, mentorship, and consistent youth participation beyond general election cycles,” Dasebre said.

“I’m here to serve and to build a vibrant and effective Youth wing where every youth has a platform to contribute meaningfully,” he added. “This is not simply a campaign, it is a call to revive our energy, restore our unity, and reposition the youth wing as a driving force for Victory 2028.”

Call for Unity and Support

Dasebre framed his candidacy as a unifying project for the NPP’s UK diaspora. “Together, we can rise, rebuild, and lead with purpose,” he said, inviting “all members of our fraternity to rally behind my candidacy.”

He concluded: “My victory will definitely bring progress and success for the youth in our dear party.”

Linking UK Branch to 2028 Ambitions

The declaration ties the UK branch’s internal contest directly to the NPP’s national goal of returning to power in 2028 with Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Dasebre positioned a revitalized youth wing as essential to that effort, saying it must serve as a “driving force” for victory.

The NPP UK Branch is one of the party’s most active external branches, with chapters across major UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow. Youth wings in external branches have historically played key roles in fundraising, digital campaigning, and mobilizing diaspora support during election years.

Who Is Jeffrey Dasebre?

A committed member of the NPP UK Branch, Dasebre has been visible in Manchester’s chapter activities and grassroots organizing. Supporters point to his tenure as Manchester Chapter Youth Organiser as evidence of on-the-ground experience with students and young professionals in the diaspora.

His “Youth Revival Agenda” is expected to focus on mentorship schemes, professional networking, skills training, and year-round political education — areas he says are often neglected between election campaigns.

Path to Election

The NPP UK Branch will hold internal elections later this year to elect new branch executives, including the Youth Organiser role. Dasebre joins what is expected to be a competitive field, as the party’s diaspora branches reorganize following the 2024 general elections in Ghana.

With the NPP now in opposition, branch leaders have emphasized the need to rebuild structures, engage younger members, and maintain diaspora momentum toward 2028.

Dasebre’s message ended with a direct appeal: “I humbly invite all members of our fraternity to rally behind my candidacy.”
