The Kejetia phase 2 Market project is 68-70% complete, auditors are doing some small work, and work will resume soon – Emmanuel Danso, Consultant for Contractor Limited

The Kejetia Phase 2 Market project in Kumasi is nearing completion, with progress currently estimated between 68 and 70 percent, according to Emmanuel Danso, a consultant for Contractor Limited.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, Mr. Danso explained that work on the project has slowed temporarily to allow auditors to carry out what he described as “some small work” related to ongoing assessments.
He reassured the public that the pause is part of standard procedures and not a sign of major setbacks. “The project is in good shape. What is happening now is routine auditing, and once that is completed, work will resume fully,” he said.
The Kejetia Phase 2 development is a key infrastructure project aimed at expanding trading space and improving facilities for traders in Kumasi. When completed, it is expected to boost local commerce and ease congestion in the city’s central business district.
Mr. Danso expressed confidence that construction will continue soon after the audit processes are finalized, bringing the project closer to completion and eventual commissioning.
