
Speaking on Kessben Drive with Fante Quoo, the ex-player, who featured for clubs such as Adanseman, Bofoakwa, and Kwabibirem, said he came very close to joining the Porcupine Warriors but the deal collapsed at the final stage.
“I nearly signed for Kotoko, but the deal hit a snag at the last minute,” he disclosed. “It’s something that still pains me because every Ghanaian footballer dreams of playing for such a great club.”
Joe Pappy described Asante Kotoko as the biggest team in the country, noting that wearing the club’s jersey would have been a career-defining moment for him. He stressed that players currently playing at Kotoko must not underestimate the opportunity they have.
After the failed move, he went on to sign for a foreign club, continuing his football journey abroad. Despite that opportunity, he admitted the missed chance to play for Kotoko remains unforgettable.
