DTI-A Founder calls for partnerships to expand youth empowerment programmes across Africa

The Founder of Drive to Inspire – Africa (DTI-A), Nana Adjoa Hackman, has called on individuals, institutions and corporate organisations to partner with her outfit to scale up its scholarship and youth empowerment initiatives across Ghana and the African continent.

She made the call during Drive to Inspire – Africa’s 2025 Annual Impact Reporting Event, held under the theme “Building Africa’s Future, One Young Person at a Time,” at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

She urged well-meaning stakeholders to come on board as sponsors of the group’s scholarship programme to enable more underprivileged but deserving young women to access tertiary education.

She noted that beyond scholarships, the organisation is actively seeking partnerships for its outreach programmes, which are currently being extended to schools, universities and youth communities across Ghana and other African countries.

According to her, the increasing demand for the organisation’s interventions from across the continent presents both a challenge and an opportunity. She indicated that requests have been received from countries including Zambia, Nigeria, Kenya and Botswana, where young people and institutions are inviting the organisation to replicate its model.

She explained that while the expansion demand is significant, it reflects the growing relevance and impact of the organisation’s work, describing it as “a good problem to have” that requires strategic planning and support to address.

Nana Adjoa Hackman also highlighted the organisation’s “Built for More” initiative, which she said is designed to inspire young people to step outside their comfort zones and embrace personal growth through discipline and resilience.

She explained that the initiative is rooted in her personal experiences, noting that taking on difficult challenges—particularly in areas she once struggled with—helped shape her journey and contributed to her success.

She added that the initiative includes motivational merchandise, the proceeds of which go directly into supporting young people, as well as a newly incorporated training arm, the Built for More Institute, which will provide additional skills and trade-based programmes both online and in-person.

She encouraged members of the public to support the initiative by purchasing branded items, volunteering their time, or offering spaces for training programmes, stressing that such contributions directly impact the lives of beneficiaries.

The DTI-A Founder further used the occasion to express gratitude to the organisation’s partners and sponsors, acknowledging their consistent support in advancing its mission.

She extended special appreciation to Alisa Hotel North Ridge for hosting the event for the second time, having hosted the organisation’s launch in 2023, commending the management and staff for their continued commitment to the organisation’s cause.

She also recognised a number of corporate partners and service providers for their contributions to the organisation’s outreach activities, particularly in logistics and programme delivery.

In addition, she lauded the role of Ghana Armed Forces, noting that personnel from the institution have consistently supported outreach programmes in schools and universities across the country.

She paid tribute to Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy for lending his brand and influence to the organisation’s activities, particularly in engaging and inspiring young people through advocacy and public campaigns.

Nana Adjoa Hackman further expressed appreciation to the organisation’s board, advisory council, staff and volunteers, acknowledging their dedication and behind-the-scenes contributions, especially those involved in content creation and programme coordination.

She thanked all attendees for their presence and support, emphasising that their participation reinforces the organisation’s mission of empowering young people and transforming lives.
