First Sky Group commits GH¢51 million to support kidney dialysis and transplant

First Sky Group as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) have committed a whooping sum of GH¢51 million in supporting the dialysis and kidney transplant care at the Korle- Bu Teaching hospital in Accra.

The Group have further employed 6,000 workforce across the country into its respective companies, namely, First Sky Construction Ltd, First Sky Commodities, Volta Serene Hotel- Ho, Western Serene Atlantic hotel – Takoradi.

Others are Frerol Rural Bank Ltd, Sky Energies Limited, First Sky Bitumen Processing Limited, Serene Insurance Company.

This came to light at the 23rd Annual Thanksgiving Service to honor and appreciate God for his unending mercies grace and favor, towards management and stuff as well as the companies for the gains It has chalked for the past years.

Speaking as the ceremony, under the theme, “Proclaiming the mighty deeds of the Lord ( Psalm 71: 15–16)”. H.E. John Mahama commended the good works of the Group and urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs to emulate the example

of the company for creating jobs and giving back to society.

He is committed in supporting local businesses and was quick to add that his administration have expanded the capacity of Ghanaian construction firms and reduce over reliance on foreign contractors

He hinted that the 2025 budget made an allocation of GH¢ 2.1 billion to the Mahama Care programme, primarily to support patients suffering from stroke, kidney disease, and other illments like cancer among others.

“First Group have benefited in the local content flagship programs of government, particularly in areas such as commodities, constructions, and hospitality”, he said, adding that workers should be dedicated to their work schedules to enable the company achieve rapid growth and development.

He however, challenged workers to observe the Group as a company that support their household needs hence they must exhibit commitments to enable the company have a positive impact in their lives, saying when you take care of the jobs, it will also take care of you.

The Executive Chairman of the First Sky Group, Mr. Eric Seddy Kutortse said the company and its workers have embrace spiritual values as part of the growth

and development in creating jobs and building capacity.

“The Group has grown into diversified conglomerate in areas such as construction, energy, commodities, banking among others creating employment of over 6,000 workforce across the country”, he said, adding that it has also built churches, mission houses, and have supported healthcare systems.

Turning the spotlight on the Group solar project at Yendi in the Northern region, he said First Sky Energies is constructing 50 mega watt solar power project to support the national grid, saying it is fully Ghanaian owned project.

He therefore expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of their company for their dedication to work and urged them to put in more effort for the companies to be at a competitive edge of others.
