Ghana Gov’t should send a strong signal that we are not accepting LGBTQ – Emmanuel Okai Botwe, educationist

Educationist Emmanuel Okai Botwe has called on the Government of Ghana to take a firm and unambiguous position on LGBTQ-related matters.

Speaking on Kessben FM with KOD, he urged the government to send a strong signal that such practices are not accepted in Ghana.

According to Okai Botwe, clarity from government authorities is important, especially within the education sector, where values, culture, and national identity are shaped and passed on to younger generations.

He argued that Ghana’s laws, traditions, and societal norms should guide public policy and official communication on sensitive social issues.

He further stressed that a clear stance would help prevent confusion among the youth and reduce external pressure on the country.
