NPP UK Luton Vice Chairman Urges Unity Ahead of 2026 Primaries: “The Elephant Is Bigger Than Any Individual”

The Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) UK Luton Chapter, Nana Bonsu, has called on party members worldwide to prioritise unity, respect and the collective interests of the NPP as internal activities heighten ahead of the 2026 Presidential Primaries.

Addressing party supporters during an exclusiveinterviewwithAkua-Piesie, Nana Bonsu stressed that the strength and identity of the NPP transcend any single individual.

According to him, recent developments show that some members are placing personal loyalties above the broader vision of the party — a trend he believes is unhealthy for internal cohesion.

“The elephant is bigger than any individual in the New Patriotic Party,” he said, urging members to choose peace and work together in safeguarding the party’s future.

Nana Bonsu explained that while it is acceptable for members to support candidates of their choice, such support must be demonstrated responsibly and without infringing on the rights of others.

“It’s not a crime to support any candidates,” he noted. “But in doing that, they should remember not to abuse the rights of other persons in the party.”

He cautioned members against becoming overly aligned with specific aspirants, stating that the focus should always remain on the long-term mission and stability of the NPP.

He emphasised that internal contests should not divide the party, adding: “People come and go, but the party still remains the same.”

Ahead of the 2026 Presidential Primaries, Nana Bonsu appealed to all party supporters to conduct themselves with respect and uphold the values that have sustained the NPP over the years. He reaffirmed the NPP UK Luton Chapter’s commitment to promoting peace, unity and discipline within the party’s global fraternity.
