Hussein Mohammed now facing big sanctions alone because of his failure to manage his anger – Rev Vincent Kankam cautions all

Hearts of Oak midfielder Hussein Mohammed is reportedly facing heavy sanctions from the club following an emotional outburst during their 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend.

Hussein’s frustration boiled over after the final whistle, leading to actions that management has described as “unprofessional and unacceptable.

The GFA is expected to take disciplinary measures in the coming days, with Hussein now facing the consequences alone for failing to control his temper.

The incident has drawn public attention, prompting Rev. Vincent Kankam to address the issue during an interview on Kessben FM. He cautioned the public, especially young athletes, about the dangers of uncontrolled anger, using Hussein’s situation as a warning example.

“Anger, when not managed well, can destroy a person’s career and reputation,” Rev. Kankam stated. “What happened to Hussein should remind all of us that patience and self-control are virtues every player must develop.”

Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, continue to grapple with inconsistency in their campaign as they sit 5th on the league log after 9 games, and Hussein’s impending sanctions add to their growing list of off-field challenges.

The club and the player have since released an official statement on the incident to apologize.
