Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has officially filed his nomination to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership, urging delegates to disregard public commentary about his candidacy.
He emphasised that their decision will determine the party’s fortunes in the 2028 general election.
He cautioned them against yielding to what he described as intimidation and selfish interests within the party.
“Don’t allow anyone to intimidate you. Party victory is paramount, so let us unite and select a candidate who can deliver,” he declared.
The NPP is seeking a leader who can restore the party’s fortunes after its heavy defeat in the 2024 elections.
