King Promise had been robbed of the crown in previous years, so we were not surprised he won Artiste of the year ahead of King Paluta – Khendi Beatz

Award-winning Ghanaian music producer Khendi Beatz has shared his thoughts on the highly debated Artiste of the Year win at the 26th Ghana Music Awards, where King Promise clinched the coveted title ahead of King Paluta.

Speaking in an interview with Quoo Fante on Kessben FM’s Drive Time Show, Khendi Beatz revealed that he and his team were not surprised by the outcome, stating that King Promise had long deserved the honor.

Khendi Beatz, who produced King Paluta’s smash hit “Aseda,” was himself a major winner on the night, taking home the Producer of the Year award. Despite being part of one of the most talked-about songs of the year, he showed no signs of disappointment about Paluta missing out on the top prize.

King Paluta’s “Aseda,” produced by Khendi, became a national anthem and played a significant role in his rise to mainstream popularity. Many fans and industry observers tipped Paluta as a strong contender for Artist of the Year, but Khendi Beatz insists that while the young singer/rapper is on the right track, King Promise’s victory was not a fluke.

Khendi also took a moment to reflect on his own recognition, calling his Producer of the Year win “a blessing and motivation” to keep pushing the envelope in Ghanaian music production.

With King Paluta’s stock rising and Khendi Beatz now wearing the crown of Ghana’s top producer, the future of Ghanaian music looks not only promising but powerful.
