The “nsemhunu” nonsense Nana Akufo Addo came to do as President; some people in the party were following him – Richard Amoako Baah

Richard Amoako Baah, a stalwart in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has voiced his strong disapproval of what he described as the “nonsense” that President Nana Akufo-Addo had pursued during his time in office.
Baah’s comments, made during an interview with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben FM, marked a bold and public critique of the leadership style of the president and those around him within the party. His remarks have ignited widespread debate on the direction of the NPP and the future of the party’s leadership.
Richard Amoako Baah did not mince words in his critique of President Akufo-Addo’s leadership. When asked about the current state of the party and its leadership, Baah asserted that the president had taken the country down the wrong path and that certain individuals within the NPP had blindly followed him without offering corrective advice.
“The nonsense Nana Akufo-Addo came to do as President; some people in the party were following him,” Baah said. His comment suggested a deep frustration with the decisions made during Akufo-Addo’s tenure, particularly as it relates to economic policies, governance, and the direction of the country. Baah’s statement appears to reflect growing concerns within the party about the impact of the president’s leadership on the party’s image and its long-term political prospects.
Baah further criticized members of the NPP who, according to him, failed to provide the necessary guidance to President Akufo-Addo when his policies and decisions seemed to be steering the country in a negative direction.
“When Nana Akufo-Addo was going the wrong direction, the people following him could not tell him,” Baah pointed out. This remark highlighted what Baah sees as a lack of accountability and the failure of party leaders and supporters to speak out when the president’s actions deviated from the party’s core values and the expectations of the Ghanaian people.
