Okudzeto Ablakwa Lied His Way To Power! — Former NPP National Organizer Aspirant Fires Over Evacuees’ Unpaid Funds
Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) former National Organiser aspirant, Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah, has launched a scathing attack on Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, accusing him of dishonesty over the controversy surrounding payments to Ghanaian evacuees.
Speaking on the matter at Kessben Maakye show in Accra, Yeboah threw his full support behind the NPP’s recent demonstration, describing it as a legitimate exercise of democratic rights.
He argued that Ablakwa, as Foreign Affairs Minister, should have known better, particularly regarding the handling of travel documents and related arrangements.
According to him, he never expected the minister to commit such alleged errors, insisting that someone of Ablakwa’s experience should have exercised greater diligence.
“Okudzeto Ablakwa, I know, would scrutinise every document before signing,” he stated.
Yeboah further claimed that some evacuees had confirmed receiving less than the amounts they were allegedly promised, raising questions about transparency and accountability.
In lieu of this, he accused the minister of failing to live up to the standards of accountability he previously demanded from others.
“It is proven that Okudzeto lied his way through to power and must be held accountable,” Yeboah alleged.
His comments come amid growing political exchanges between the NPP and NDC over the handling of evacuees’ payments, with the opposition demanding answers from the government.
The allegations against Ablakwa remain claims made by Yeboah and have not been independently established.
