It is Kotoko’s name that is bigger than Baseke Holy Stars – Abdulai Gazele

Abdulai Gazele, the head coach of Baseke Holy Stars, addressed his team’s 1-0 loss to the mighty Asante Kotoko. Despite the defeat, Gazele offered a measured perspective, highlighting the strength and experience of Kotoko’s squad, while expressing pride in his team’s performance.
Gazele was quick to acknowledge that, on paper, Kotoko is a much bigger name in Ghanaian football than Baseke Holy Stars. As one of the most successful and widely recognized clubs in the country, Kotoko’s legacy and stature have earned them a dominant position in the football scene.
However, the Baseke Holy Stars coach also emphasized that when it comes to player development and maturity, his team is no slouch.
“It is Kotoko’s name that is bigger than Baseke Holy Stars,” Gazele said, reflecting on the historical and current pedigree of the Porcupine Warriors. “But if it comes to player to player, they have matured players in their team”
Gazele acknowledged the disappointment of the loss but took solace in the progress his team is making.
