Career Excellence Awards: Former Akrofuom DCE awarded most outstanding MMDCE

Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode, the immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) of Akrofuom District Assembly has been adjudged the most outstanding MMDCE in the Ashanti Region at the 2nd edition of the Career Excellence Awards (CEA) held on Friday 28th February 2025.

This award adds to the plethora of awards won by the DCE known for his exceptional leadership qualities, hardwork, benevolence and commitment towards the development of the Akrofuom district as the first District Chief Executive of the Assembly.

For his prize, Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode was given a certificate, citation and a plaque. In his remarks after the event, he commended the management of the CEA for the recognition.

He said the feat was down to a sustained period of hard work and commitment towards the development of his district.

He said teamwork played a key role in his successes throughout his tenure of office. He thanked the assembly members, chiefs, and staff of the assembly for their support.

“I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to all those who supported me when i became a Dce in 2018 and throughout the years I spent at the Assembly. All the accolades and awards i have won are dedicated to them. I remain grateful for their support ” he added.

Ironically, Dr. Woode placed 2nd in the same category last year. This, he said, motivated him to work harder. He was, however, excited that his hard work had been recognised by the CEA team.

Kwakye called on Ghanaians, especially the youth, to brighten the corner where they found themselves, adding that there were people who would always see and recognize them.

The DOMFO Foundation introduced the prestigious Career Excellence Awards to recognize and appreciate the efforts and achievements of society members, which are important for career success.

Career Excellence Awards are open to the public, especially professionals from companies, consultancies, associations, institutions, universities, and NGOs who have displayed exceptional talents and abilities.
