Asafo Powers reveals why he uses the name “Jonathan Sowah” in skits
Akowuah Powers widely known as Asafo Powers has divulged why he adopted the former Medeama player Jonathan Sowah’s name and uses it in most of his skits.
Asafo Powers aka Jonathan Sowah alongside his hypeman, Mr Amprah have been cracking ribs on the internet with their unique comic skits lately.
Most of their skits portray a professional footballer who is revered by fans in his locality.
Asafo Powers chose to use Jonathan’s Sowah name as his character name in most of his skits.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Around Town with Koo Fante, the newest social sensation explained that a kind gesture from the Al Nasrr Bengazi player really touched his heart when he met him at the Black Stars Camp at the Lancaster Hotel while the Black Stars were preparing for the AFCON 2023 in Cote Divoire.
The Black Stars were in Kumasi preparing for the AFCON in Cote Divoire so I visited their hotel at the Lancaster Hotel and the way Sowah treated me it was as if he knew me from Adam.
He called me when he saw me and had a good conversation. He’s really down to earth and a very good person. After meeting him at the Hotel, I have since stayed in touch with him” He said.
