Pitso Mosimane honoured by University of Johannesburg

The Coach of Saudi Pro League side Al Abha, Pitso Mosimane has been awarded with a Doctorate Degree by University of Johannesburg in South Africa.

The legendary South African Manager has earned a lot of respect and achievement for his stellar performance in the dugout winning 19 trophies making him the most successful South African Coach ever.

Pitso Mosimane became the first Coach to win Mamelodi Sundowns it’s first continental glory in 2016 before conquering Africa again with Al Ahly on two consecutive occasions in 2020 and 2021.

Pitso went on in the Gulf as he helped Al Ahli Jeddah to gain promotion into the Saudi Pro league. After he went on to Coach Al Wahda in United Arab Emirates topflight before returning back to Saudi for a second spell with Al Abha.

The man Pitso Mosimane has been with Supersport United, South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly, Al Ahli Jeddah, Al Wahda and now Al Abha as he has secured multiple trophies in his Managerial career.

The Legendary South African Coach has also established the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools which is a primary soccer development opportunity offering boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 aiming to improve their skills in soccer which is a massive development adventure embarked by him.

The schools are all located in South Africa in Boksburg, Mamelodi, Midrand and North Riding. Pitso’s drive to impart knowledge through soccer into the young generation has also been one of the reasons why University of Johannesburg decided to honor him with a Doctorate Degree.
