2023 National best farmer takes GHC1million prize money while Ghana premier league winner takes GHC500,000 – Netizens react
The National Best Farmer for 2023 is a 57-year-old woman from the Central Region’s Agona West Municipality.
Charity Akortia was awarded GH¢1 million in cash by the Agriculture Development Bank as part of her prize.
Theophilus Ezenrane Ackah from Western Region was named first runner-up.
He took home a trailer, a boom sprayer, a set of tools, and a tractor head with a lot of horsepower.
Ghana Exim Bank provided funding for his award.
Kwaku Yeboah Asumah, a resident of the Bono East Region, was named the second runner-up.
An MF tractor head, trailer, and set of tools were his reward. Stanbic Bank was the sponsor of this.
Many football enthusiasts have been left dismayed with most comparing the significant difference between the prize winner of the Ghana premier league which is GHC500,00.
The prize winner of the league was increased from GHC300,000 this season as announced by the GFA president in August 2023 at the launch of the 2023-24 Ghana premier league season.
