NHIS providers to reject card holders due to govt's debt

National Health Insurance providers have indicated that from October 31, they will reject insurance card holders due to the huge sums of money owed by the health insurance authority
This was disclosed at a meeting the Health Ministry in Accra.
Reports say that while some hospitals have started the implementation of the cash-and-carry system for NHIS card holders, others are yet to do so.
Those facilities which could not start the implementation also indicated that they would do so because they did not get the circular in time.
