“It was a concert, If Kurt is going to provide buses then I provide aeroplanes” – George Afriyie roars
Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has questioned the president of the Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku’s initiative to provide 30 busses for the football ecosystem.
At the 29th congress of the Ghana Football Association at the Great Hall in Kumasi on Monday, the GFA president Kurt Okraku assured of investing in the game to get 30 new busses.
“We will invest 30 buses into the Ghana football ecosystem. The beneficiaries of this strategy will be teams from the division one and the women’s club teams, this is the game changer.” He said.
George Afriyie who has declared the intention to constest Kurt Okraku in the upcoming GFA presidential elections however reckons the president of the Ghana Football Association took the occasion to campaign for the next elections.
Speaking to press men after the Congress, George said there is no roadmap for the investment for the football ecosystem to get the 30 buses Kurt assured.
According to him, there is no roadmap for Kurt to provide those buses stating that it was just mere lip service campaigning for the next elections. He added that if Kurt will provide buses then he will be providing airplanes.
