They threatened the referee at halftime, that’s why he changed his mind – Zerbo on Aduana defeat
Aduana FC beat Kotoko by 1-0 and eliminated the Kumasi-based side from the MTN FA cup on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko head coach, Zerbo after the game says the referee was influenced to give Aduana a penalty.
Aduana played better in the first half and came closer to scoring, but they were ineffective in front of goal. The first half finished in a stalemate.
Following the break, Aduana were granted a penalty in the 60th minute, and Sam Adams, who had been outstanding throughout the game, stepped up to send goaltender Asare the wrong way.
“I’m not a person that talks about officiating but the way they threatened the referee at halftime, that’s why he changed his mind.” Zerbo said after the game.
