Qualifying for Worldcup while local clubs are suffering is no achievement – Kurt Okraku calls for club empowerment
The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has said that there is no need to boast of Worldcup qualification while local football clubs in Ghana are suffering.
Kurt Okraku speaking at the 28th GFA Ordinary Congress at Prampram in Accra on Tuesday 30th August 2022 stressed that empowering of the local football clubs is significant.
He underscored that though qualifying for the Worldcup as a nation is regarded to be an accomplishment for a football nation, real success is to see the local clubs do well.
Ghanaian clubs over the years have been shambolic in CAF inter-clubs competitions basically because of financial challenges.
Kurt reckons by empowering the local clubs, they will be positioned well enough to compete.
