It’s possible Ogum will stay, Otumfuo’s Ankobiahene clashes with Kofi Abban (Video)
BoD member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Kwame Baffour Kusi has said it was entirely wrong for his colleague BoD member to have called for the sacking of the coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prosper Ogum Narteh without listening to his side of the story.
In the heat of the controversy surrounding Coach Prosper Ogum and the management of Asante Kotoko, BoD member of the club, Kofi Abban went rampage on Twitter insisting their coach must be fired.
Asante Kotoko is under the Stewardship of a great Management Team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah. The success on and off the pitch last season is testament to this fact.THE COACH SHOULD BE FIRED. No one is bigger than the Club. Asante Kotoko remains Supreme… the BoD member wrote on Twitter.
His colleague BoD member, Nana Baffour Kwame speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time Sports with Joe Laka described Kofi Abban’s call as very disturbing.
Nana Ankobiahene stated it is always prudent to hear from both sides before arriving at amicable grounds for the good interest of the club.
He noted that the issues at hand are resolvable and thus it was not right for his colleague to have come publicly to call the head of the coach.
“It was very disturbing for him to have come out and said that. You have not listened to the coach so why do you have to draw a conclusion about sacking him.
In the last few years, there have been about 3 coaches who have been sacked and that is not good for the club. That’s not the right way to go. When issues of such nature come up you find out and reach amicable grounds for the good interest of the club. Looking at the issues it’s resolvable and it is possible Ogum will stay at the club” Nana Baffour said.
