We invited Nana Yaw Amponsah but he did not come – Kotoko BoD member speaks after meeting Ogum (Video)

Otumfuo’s Ankobiahene, Nana Kwame Baffour Kyei has revealed that the BoD secretary of Kumasi Asante Kotoko extended an invitation to the CEO of the club for a meeting on Monday, 25th July 2022 but the CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah did not show up.

The meeting which was arranged to discuss and resolve the recent issues at the club saw the head coach Prosper Ogum Narteh in attendance.

The BoD member speaking with Joe Laka on Kessben TV noted that the coach explained his side of the story about his reported resignation but the management of the club headed by Nana Yaw Amponsah was nowhere to be found.

He added that issues are resolvable, noting that it’s likely for the coach to still stay on as the Asante Kotoko coach after which they will hear from the management.

“We invited Nana Yaw Amponsah to the BoD meeting today but he did not show up.

The Coach said he is resigning because of what the management has been doing to him over the last few months, that’s what Ogum told us today in the meeting. We are yet to hear from the management, we are waiting to hear from them ( management) if what the coach said is true. The issues are resolvable and it’s possible for the coach to stay” Nana Baffour told Sir Joe.
