Ishmael Addo is far better than Frank Mbella – ex Asante Kotoko Star, Joe Agyemang Snr
Asante Kotoko legend, Joe Agyemang Senior has waded into the street debate between former Accra Hearts of Oak forward Ismail Addo and the leading Asante Kotoko scorer, Frank Mbella.
The ex-Asante Kotoko player reckons the Cameroonian does not come close to the Hearts of Oak forward therefore it is even unwarranted to compare the two.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time, Joe stressed that the top-quality defenders Ismail Addo faced during his time were also far ahead of the defenders Mbella is facing today.
“I have watched both played. Ismail Addo is far better than Mbella. The type of defenders Ismail Addo was facing were better defenders than the ones Mbella is facing today.
In fact, Ismail Addo is a typical goalscorer and a dangerous striker. There is even no need to compare the two. Ismail is far better than Mbella”
With a game left to wrap up the 2021-22 Ghana premier league, Frank Mbella has the chance to break the long-standing record of Ismail Addo’s 21 premier league goals in a season.
Mbella has scored 20 goals in the 2021-22 Ghana premier league.
