Dr Emmanuel Boakye alleges drug influence behind Akofena’s actions and gives a fresh account of the Adwoa Safo shooting incident

Dr Emmanuel Boakye, spokesperson for the family of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has made fresh allegations against Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I following the recent disturbances at the Akofena Palace in Kwabenya.
Speaking on Kessben FM Accra, Dr Boakye claimed that the conduct exhibited by Akofena during Sunday’s events was abnormal, stating that “if you are not into drugs, you can’t do what Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I did yesterday.” He did not publicly provide evidence to support the allegation.
Dr Boakye also offered further details regarding the shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo. His comments come amid growing public interest in reports that Adwoa Safo was injured during a disturbance linked to the ongoing leadership and succession dispute within the Kristo Asafo family.
According to media reports, Adwoa Safo was allegedly caught up in a shooting incident near the residence of Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, where tensions had reportedly escalated during activities related to the succession process. Reports indicate that she received medical attention and was said to be in stable condition, although authorities had yet to release a comprehensive account of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As of the time of publication, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I had not publicly responded to the allegations made by Dr Boakye.
