Abronye’s Arrest & More: It’s not political persecution, NPP has laws & Ghana too has laws – Mahmoud Kabore

Mahmoud Kabore, spokesperson for the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, has dismissed claims that the arrest of Bono Regional NPP Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, was politically motivated.

Speaking on Kessben TV, Kabore stated that the rule of law must apply to everyone, regardless of political affiliation. According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) itself operates under laws and regulations, and the same principle governs the country.

“It’s not political persecution. Within the NPP, there are laws there, the same thing applies to the nation, there are laws in Ghana,” Kabore said during the interview.

Kabore insisted that legal institutions must be allowed to perform their duties without political interference.
