Tayless Gang Sets Sights on Grammy Glory

Ghanaian music duo Tayless Gang has boldly declared their intention to bring the Grammy Award to Ghana within the next two years. In a recent interview on Power Entertainment, hosted by Agyeman Nie, the Kotekoka hit-makers expressed confidence in their unique style and lyrical prowess.

According to Tayless Gang, Ghana’s Grammy drought stems from uncompetitive song content and poor lyrical quality. They believe that well-written songs, rather than big names, are the key to winning awards. The duo thinks it’s time for underdogs like themselves to shine, citing years of support for established artists like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Rocky Dawuni without a Grammy win.

Tayless Gang also criticized the music industry, calling for reforms such as:

Investigating royalty payments and ensuring transparency
Reviving the Ghana Musician Union to better support artists
Encouraging musicians to think about the future and create sustainable music
