Ghana is implementing policies to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises – Mahama discloses

President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has revealed the government’s plans to support micro, small and medium-sized businesses emphasizing on women and youth -led enterprises.
According to him, this is to create an enabling environment for business growth.
Speaking at the Czech- Ghana business cooperation seminar held in Accra on Wednesday 9th April, 2025, he expressed his administration’s openness to partnerships that boost financial mechanisms for businesses.
“My government is implementing policies and programmes to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with special emphasis on women and youth-led businesses that represent the future of our economy.
“We warmly welcome partnerships that can provide technical expertise, facilitate technology transfer, and enhance access to appropriate financing mechanisms for these dynamic enterprises.
“We are also continuing to streamline business regulations, improve the ease of doing business, and provide attractive incentives for foreign direct investment, particularly in our priority sectors. Our dedicated investment promotion agencies stand ready to provide comprehensive support to Czech businesses interested in exploring the abundant opportunities that Ghana offers” he stressed.
