NAHSAG Elects New National Executive Officers At 16th Emergency Congress

The National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG) has successfully elected its National Executive Officers (NEOs) for the 2024/2025 academic year at its 16th Emergency Congress, held at the Accra School of Hygiene, Korle-Bu on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

The congress brought together delegates from the University for Development Studies (UDS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Accra School of Hygiene, University of Ghana (UG), University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), University of Cape Coast (UCC), and several other universities, health training institutions, and technical universities across the country.

At the end of the elections, Fabian K. Pinto Gaku was elected as President, with Michael Darkwa Peprah as Vice President. Yaa Abrafi Ankomah emerged as General Secretary, while Ethel Margaret Sebuabe was elected as Financial Controller. Lauren Baaba Annan secured the position of Coordinating Secretary, Priscilla Sankofia Gyinadu was elected Women’s Commissioner, and Malcom Nyanke-Adjei Nyanzu became the Public, Media, and International Relations Officer (PMIRO).

The NAHSAG Interim Management Committee (IMC) assured all delegates of comprehensive security measures, ensuring a smooth and successful congress. The newly elected executives are expected to strengthen student advocacy and promote the welfare of health students across the country.
