Calls Mount for Ken Ofori-Atta’s Lawyers to Take Action Against OSP and Richard Jakpa

A concerned citizen, Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, an energy expert, has added his voice to the growing chorus of calls for Ken Ofori-Atta’s lawyers to take legal action against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and Richard Jakpa, the individual who led the military raid on the former Finance Minister’s residence.

Poku emphasized that the actions of the OSP and Jakpa have trampled on Ofori-Atta’s fundamental human rights and liberties, as guaranteed by the 1992 Constitution. He argued that the OSP’s declaration of Ofori-Atta as a fugitive is defamatory and that Jakpa’s actions constitute a gross violation of Ofori-Atta’s right to property and privacy.

Poku urged Ofori-Atta’s lawyers to bring a civil suit against the OSP and Jakpa, seeking damages for the harm caused to their client’s reputation and person. He believes that this will serve as a deterrent to others who may seek to abuse their power and violate the rights of citizens.

The energy expert also highlighted the importance of upholding the rule of law and protecting the fundamental human rights of all citizens. He noted that the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech, property rights, and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and that these rights must be respected and protected by all.

Poku’s call to action comes amidst growing concerns about the actions of the OSP and the military raid on Ofori-Atta’s residence. Many have questioned the legality and motivation behind these actions, and are calling for accountability and transparency.

As the debate continues, one thing is clear: the rule of law and the protection of fundamental human rights must be upheld and respected by all.
