The ‘Basintale boy’ Malik Basintale appointed acting CEO of Youth Employment Agency

The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Deputy National Communications Officer, Malik Basintale, has been named by President John Dramani Mahama as the Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) acting CEO.

After Kofi Baah Agyepong, the departing CEO, resigned to concentrate on personal obligations and goals, the appointment was made.

A well-known and influential person in Ghanaian politics, Mr. Basintale will formally take office on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Mr. Basintale thanked President Mahama for the opportunity and promised to be a good leader in his new position in a passionate post on X (previously Twitter). H.E. John D. Mahama, Mr. President, thank you. He wrote, “We will not let you down.”
