‘Rio Ferdinand used to send me to buy cigarettes for him & was parking Ronaldo’s car for him’ – Kumasi based Veteran sports Journalist, Super Obondede reveals
A senior sports journalist in Ghana, based in Kumasi, Kwadwo Bonsrah widely known as Super Obondede has made a staggering revelation about how he used to be sent on errands to buy cigarettes for some Manchester United players while he was working at Manchester years ago.
Super speaking on Kessben TV’s Midfield Action sports show divulged that he was working with Audi during the period when the Audi Company was the sponsor of Manchester United and thus had a level of privileged access to the technical and the playing body of Manchester United.
He narrated that, he was most often at Manchester United’s training grounds where he had close contact with some of the players who would later become his friends.
According to him, some of the players due to their celebrity status were not able to go out publicly to purchase some personal stuff for themselves and thus was sent to run those errands by some of the players.
The sports journalist who recently joined Agyapa FM from Light FM added that he at many points in time had to take the keys of Cristiano Ronaldo’s car and park at the parking lot at the Carrington training grounds.
