Africans not left out in Europe finals this season
The dust have settled as all 3 European club competitions finalists have been revealed. The Champions League will see Dortmund and Real Madrid square it off in London while Europa League will have Bayern Leverkusen and Atalanta in the finals in Dublin and the Europa Conference League will be held in Athens between Olympiacos and Fiorentina
Three Africans will pitch against each other in the UEFA Champions League final whereby Real Madrid has Brahim Diaz of Morocco and Dortmund has Ramy Bensebaini of Algeria alongside AFCON winner Sebastien Haller of Ivory Coast.
In the UEFA Europa League, German champions Bayern Leverkusen will meet Italian side Atalanta in Dublin. Lookman Ademola of Nigeria is with the Bergamo based club while his compatriots Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, Edmond Tapsoba of Burkina Faso, Amin Adli of Morocco, Odilon Kossonou of Ivory Coast are in the Westfalians squad.
Ayoub El Kaabi of Morocco who has blazed the trail with 10 goals in the Europa Conference League as the leading topscorer will represent Greek giants Olympiacos as they square it off against Italian side Fiorentina that also has Ghanaian international Alfred Duncan in their set up.
With all these finalists revealed ahead of the the finals in all the European club competitions, what it means is an African will win each of the gold medals put on place in all the games as the final beckons.
