Alexis Sanchez ‘passes Arsenal medical’ ahead of £30m move

Arsenal have taken a step closer to completing the signing of Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez after he passed his medical with the club, according to Sky.
The Gunners appear to have fought off competition from Liverpool and Juventus for the Chilean star, who impressed at this summer’s World Cup.
Sanchez is expected to set Arsenal back around £35m as he becomes the second most expensive player in the club’s history, behind last summer’s £42.5m arrival Mesut Ozil.
Having passed his medical, it is likely Sanchez’s arrival at the Emirates will be completed in the coming days, kick-starting Arsene Wenger’s summer spending.
The Frenchman is also thought to be nearing deals for Newcastle defender Mathieu Debuchy and QPR striker Loic Remy.
The former is expected to see Arsenal hand over around £11m, while it will take £8m to match Remy’s buy-out clause.
