Mahama donates pickup and motorcycles to boost police operations at Krobo Odumase

President John Dramani Mahama has donated a brand-new pickup vehicle and two motorcycles to support the operations of police officers at the newly inaugurated Divisional Police Headquarters at Krobo Odumase in the Eastern Region.

President Mahama announced during the commissioning ceremony, aimed at enhancing mobility and improving rapid response capabilities for officers serving the area.

“I have donated a brand new pickup and two motorcycles to aid the work of the police officers who will serve here,” President Mahama said, adding that the support forms part of government’s broader effort to strengthen the logistics base of the Ghana Police Service.

He explained that effective policing depends not only on personnel but also on the availability of adequate resources to ensure timely response to security threats.

“When you send our officers to protect you and fight violent people, you have to provide them with the instruments and the tools to be able to do so,” the President noted.

President Mahama emphasised that the donation aligns with his administration’s commitment to modernising the security services and ensuring officers are well-equipped to carry out their duties safely and efficiently.

The newly inaugurated police headquarters is expected to serve as a key operational hub for crime prevention, intelligence gathering, and emergency response within the area and surrounding communities.

The President urged officers stationed at the facility to uphold professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties, stressing that government will continue to support them to succeed in protecting lives and property.
