The Manhyia Palace is reportedly bummed out after the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko used the image of the Asantehene on the club’s 2022-23 Jerseys without permission, Kessben Sports is gathering.
Manhyia has reportedly summoned the CEO of the club Nana Yaw Amponsah over the usage of Asantehene’s image on Jersey.
Our sources at the seat of the Asantehene divulged that permission to use the Asantehene’s image on the jersey was not sought before embossing the image.
The sources added that bearing any last-minute change of mind, the club will also be ordered by Manhyia to clear Otumfuo’s image on the Kotoko team bus which the club did not also seek prior permission before going ahead to emboss the image.
The subject of the club using Otumfuo’s image wrongly was brought to attention by the Bankroller of King Faisal Football after he described it as uncivilised for the club to have done that with the Great King.
