Suame Demonstration: Mechanics hoot and throw bottles of water at Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu (Video)
Hundreds of aggrieved residents of Suame Magazine in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on 18th July 2022 (Monday) hit the streets to protest against the government’s failure to fix their roads.
The majority of the demonstrators were artisans at the ‘Suame Magazine’ who over the years have consistently complained about the bad condition of the Suame roads.
A number of protesters including drivers, mechanics, and traders along the Suame magazine road speaking with Kessben FM’s Mallam Yaya underscored that they could not sit unconcerned while dusty roads riddled with deep potholes and erosion take a toll on their health and also affect their work adversely.
The MP of Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu was apparently present addressing the media and the leadership of the artisans and he did not have it easy with the aggrieved residents.
