Lessons: In politics, never say never, we never planned of going to IMF – Justin Kodua
The aspiring National General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua has stressed that it was never the plan of the Government to resort to the IMF.
Reacting to a question on Kessben FM’s Maakye about the fact that the NPP has deceived Ghanaians, Justin Kodua noted that it was never the intention of the Government to have resorted to the IMF but the situation forced them.
He reiterated that there are so many lessons to be learned from what has happened noting that in politics you never say never.
Justin Kodua admitted that they got their communication about the position of Ghana resorting to the IMF wrong.
The NPP Government had apparently stressed that they would never be heading to the IMF if the E levy was passed.
Barely three months after the passage and the implementation of the E levy, the Government is heading to the IMF for financial aid.
