CPP Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, An Exemplary Female Politician – Nana Poku
Let me say without any equivocation that if am to love any Politician in Ghana today , l wouldn’t hesitate to tilt towards the Chairperson of the CPP in the person of distinguished and eloquent Nana Akosua Frimpomaa.
My goodness, the woman is very eloquent and also very intelligent. She speaks with precision and gives spot on answers. I had the occasion to interview her in her office and l must confess, l was touched and awed with her dexterity, ambivalence and mastery over the language and subject matter.
Many inexperienced interviewers would be cut in their own web if they venture to talk to her unprepared and unresearched. The woman simply is on top her game and can answer any crunchy and complex question. Before you land she would give you the right answer . Perhaps this has shapened my bias towards the gender position l sometimes bath in. Indeed some women can do even better in their chosen fields when they get the opportunity. This woman if supported to lead the CPP they way she has started would make a lot of inroads.
What some people tend to overlook is that some people are naturally born leaders ,others are trained as leaders while many strive to learn to be leaders. Nana Akosua Frimpomaa is an innate natural leader . My own little investigation about her pressuposes that, she’s a real mother who cares for the party members and workers. She has been paying workers salaries for the past two years that she assumed office. She has as well paid all bills and outstanding debts the party owed . She attends every occasion of party members and donates with ease .She is so friendly, social, frank, open- minded, party loyalist, ideologically principled, a bridge builder, focused, a team player, determined and well versed in her responsibility. Hitherto, the CPP was struggling to whip up enthusiasm and interest in the party but reports indicate that, the trend is fast changing for the better through her leadership and instrumentality.
She told this writer that she is not interested in petty squabbles, and infighting but rather UNITY in the CPP. Stressing that, the great Osagyefo always worked and lived for unity and organisation of the CPP so she has come to add up but not to subtract .
She is poised to win the majority of the youth who constitute about 54 % of the population to her side. Nana is preparing the party for their National Delegate Conference from the electoral area, constituency, regional to national level to elect new officers to run the party sometime this years ,all things being stable.
According to her , for sometime now the party has not organised that grassroots elections and she is prepared to do that for total participation of all and sundry. She whispered that, she will re-contest the chairmanship position of the party if nominations are opened . I trust the CPP can bounce back with the quality and strong leader like Nana Akosua Frimpomaa only if the rank and file unconditionally throw their weight behind this determined and willing leader who means well for the party .
