‘Black Stars players weren’t sleeping early & there were too many women at the team’s hotel’ – EXCO meeting reveals

According to the outcome of Tuesday’s meeting held by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association, the majority of the players of the Black Stars were not getting enough sleep while at their hotel camp during the 2023 Cote Di Voire AFCON.

A report filed by Kessben FM said the players were not sleeping early as expected of professional footballers but would spend most of the hours on their phones all night.

Kessben FM reported that the issue was brought to the fore at the EXCO meeting on Tuesday.

The report also added that the Black Stars team Hotel in Abidjan was thronged with so many women which led to distractions.

The Ghana Football Association executive council resolved that henceforth with any AFCON tournament the Black Stars will fully book a hotel that would not allow anyone to come in throughout their stay.
