NPP women’s organizer declared wanted after allegedly diverting funds of school feeding money in her personal account
Angelina Nyarkoa, a women’s organizer for the New Patriotic Party at Twifo Atimokwa in the Central region has been declared wanted by the Hemma Lower Magistrate court after repeatedly failing to appear in court for her case to be heard.
Oheneba Ambruce reporting from the central region told Ali Baba Dankambari that his Lordship Maxwell Ofori granted a bench warrant for the arrest of Angelina following her long-standing case of misappropriating funds of the school feeding program.
It is alleged that Madam Angelina who’s in charge of the school feeding program had diverted monies meant to be paid to the cooks of the school feeding program into her personal bank account.
Angelina Nyarkoa was reported to the police by one of the cooks who had her salary not been paid for over months and got arrested.
After she was released by the police, the case was sent to the magistrate court in the central region presided by his Lordship Maxwell Ofori.
Angelina Nyarkoa who has been the accused in the case has however refused to show up anytime the case is called.
On Monday 1st November 2021, the case was called again but the accused failed yet again to show up without any reason.
This led the presiding judge his Lordship Maxwell Ofori to grant a bench warrant for the arrest of Angelina Nyarkoa.
The judge directed the Criminal Investigation Department to headhunt and arrest the women’s organizer who is believed to be at large following the many accusations.
